How it works
Choose a material, retro style, tile resolution and color preset. Adjust surface detail, compare the single tile with its repeated preview and select Generate new texture for another seed. Enter a previous seed to recreate a variation with the same settings. Nothing is uploaded and no account is required.
Useful to know
Seven procedural materials, 16–128 px native tiles and PNG export up to 2048 px. Enlarging preserves crisp pixels without adding detail. Settings and generated images stay in this tab; download a tile before leaving.
Retro game textures for designers, developers and artists
Build stone walls, wooden floors, brickwork, grass, dirt, sand and metal surfaces for 2D levels, virtual worlds and game art prototypes. Choose an 8-bit, 16-bit or 32-bit inspired look, then compare one tile with the same image repeated in a 4 × 4 grid.
Seamless tiles and reproducible variations
Each material is generated from a seed using periodic algorithms, so its pattern continues across opposite edges. Keep the same seed and settings to reproduce a tile, or generate another variation. This exports a single repeating tile, not an autotile set with corners or transitions between materials.
PNG export for your game art workflow
Choose a native tile size of 16, 32, 64 or 128 pixels. Export that tile at its original size or enlarge it to 256, 512, 1024 or 2048 pixels without smoothing. Larger files preserve the pixel style but add no new detail. The preview grid is never exported. For engine imports, choose nearest-neighbor or point filtering when you want crisp pixel edges.
The style names describe retro-inspired palettes and shading, not the PNG file bit depth or an exact console hardware emulation. No AI service or third-party artwork is used.
